Day 36: DeJaVu

Jeanne, Linda, & the Brick
Up for a drive to Burlington to attend church services at St Paul’s Cathedral, where the congregation sits in the round.  It was a little disturbing at first, not knowing what to focus on and had both us rethinking about our own centering practices in the traditional setting.  We actually enjoyed the experience by the end of the service and found it felt completely normal.  We introduced ourselves to The Very Rev. Jeanne Finan, Dean and Rector, who presided over the service today.  We told her about St. John’s and the brick.  She knew some people who were at St. John’s at one time.  Wouldn’t you know it, she and the Susan and David Copley are great friends from seminary days.  Talk about the circle of church associations.  We were all a little stimulated by the connections of our faith.  A short walk

down to the water for lunch at the Boathouse and then off for some shopping and errands completed the afternoon.  Of course, we had to drive through plenty of architecturally interesting neighborhoods along the way. Oh, watching another spaghetti western - like DeJa Vu, man?
