Day 31 (1 July): Champlain Marina

Shelburne Vinyards off of
Shelburn Rd. (Rt. 7)
After breakfast Brian decided to go for a swim under Splash Down to inspect the sea water intakes but found nothing suspicious.  The water was clear making the inspection easy.  He said it wasn’t a bad temperature either (once he got used to it).  After renting a car, Chevy Spark, we started our tour of the area.  Our first stop was the Shelburne Ship Yard to pick up the new raw water pump.  Next, we went to the Shelburne Vineyard to sample their wines.  They had 11 wines to sample.  We purchased a few and had them shipped home.  A short distance from the winery is the Vermont Teddybear Factory.  That was a short visit once we learned they didn’t offer anything better than ‘Build-A-Bear’ stores in some malls.  It was rush hour for Burlington, South Burlington, and Shelburne. We decided to head home to avoid the traffic on unfamiliar roads.
