Day 32: Champlain Marina

The Brick at St. Paul's Cathedral
n the morning Brian paid bills on-line while Linda cleaned the hull and swim platform of the boat. Then it was off to play tourist. We walked through St. Paul’s Cathedral in downtown Burlington and snapped a few photos.  We also visited their bookstore.  Linda found the book, “Walking in the Dark” by Barbara Brown Taylor, that will be read and discussed at St. John’s starting July 16th.  We were starving when we left the cathedral.  We had lunch at a restaurant called Sweetwaters American Bistro then started to walk the length of the Church St. mall.  It was hot and humid.  The temperature was not what we envisioned for Vermont - 94° and 80% humidity!
Church St. in downtown
Burlington
Very eclectic area with “ski lift chairs” as street benches, and engraved paving stones along the walk way.  After returning to the boat, Brian went shopping locally for a few items and we did our new tradition—watching a spaghetti western.
